What happens when I check in?
As soon as you confirm your order and check your website in with us, we email you some instructions including the details we need in order to get your website set up or migrated from your old host to our server, including email setup if applicable. As soon as we get the information that we need from you, we set up your new website on our server or book a time to seamlessly migrate it from your old host (without any downtime!) and securely send you your new access details. We then become your dedicated website care and hosting team!
So the first 30 days is completely free?
Yes! This gives you time to give notice to your existing hosting company if necessary, and gives us time to set up your website (including email if applicable) or migrate it from your old host, without you paying for any unused time in the beginning. Also if for whatever reason you change your mind about checking in during the first 30 days, you can cancel instantly without it costing you anything.
How should we contact you for support?
The preferred method of contact is email (roomservice@thewebsitehotel.com) so that it’s easier to exchange and record specific information, however we are also happy for you to message us through our website or phone either our UK or Swedish number. For short messages, you are even welcome to SMS/Whatsapp us.
What are your support desk hours?
We are typically able to reply within an hour inside of normal working hours. Outside of normal working hours, our response times can be varied depending on the urgency of the issue and exact time of day.
Can we get server or control panel access?
We provide dedicated website care and hosting, and it is a completely managed service (we manage it on your behalf). For this reason we don’t offer direct server or control panel access, other than of course admin access to your WordPress dashboard/website.
Do you offer additional services?
Our combined team has broad and rich expertise in addition to web care and hosting that includes web and product design, e-commerce, video production and marketing (including social media and SEO).
